Spanish Mtech and Brazilian Automa Announce Global Strategic Alliance to Strengthen Renewable Energy Solutions.
The Spanish multinational Mtech and the Brazilian company Automa announced a strategic partnership focused on expanding technologies for the renewable energy sector. The collaboration, which was formalized last Wednesday (7), during Intersolar Europe — the largest European event dedicated to solar energy, in Germany — aims to expand the portfolio of both companies in solutions aimed at monitoring, automation, and control of clean energy generation and distribution systems.
The agreement provides for joint action in strategic markets, such as Brazil, Latin America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region, without involving corporate mergers. The format of the partnership was designed to maintain the independence of each company, allowing them to combine their competencies in projects that require both robust physical infrastructure and digital intelligence applied to energy management.
Alliance Brings Together Industrial Technology and Automation Software
Globally recognized for manufacturing low-voltage industrial equipment for photovoltaic plants and storage systems, Mtech finds in Automa an ally with strong expertise in developing digital platforms.

Advancement in renewable energy: A R$ 150 million project launched by Petrobras and Finep aims to create state-of-the-art electrolyzers for green hydrogen, strengthening national research and preparing Brazil to compete in a billion-dollar energy market.

The world has bet on green hydrogen as the fuel of the future, but now faces the side effect: producing 1 kilogram requires about 9 liters of ultrapure water, and the largest projects on the planet are precisely in the driest regions of the Earth, where water is already scarce for people.
The union of the companies aims to provide a more complete offer for the renewable energy market, especially in areas such as electrical substations and network digitalization.
“This collaboration with Automa is essential to raise the standard of our solutions. The integration of software and automation competencies with our industrial experience will allow for more innovative deliveries on a global scale,” said Santi Fraile, CEO of Mtech.
Three Strategic Pillars Support the Partnership
The initiative will be conducted based on three central axes:
- Complementary International Presence: Mtech is already well established in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, while Automa has a strong presence in the Brazilian and Latin American markets;
- Technical and Operational Integration: Mtech’s production capacity will be combined with Automa’s know-how in critical automation systems, providing greater energy efficiency to the projects;
- Development of SCADA Solutions: The SCADA platform developed by Automa will be used to digitally integrate the systems, raising the level of automation and monitoring of plants and substations.
Goal is to Lead SCADA Solutions for Renewable Energy
For Automa, the partnership represents an opportunity for international growth.
With operations in São Paulo and Portugal, the company aims to establish itself in the coming years as a global reference in SCADA solutions for renewable energy plants.
“The market increasingly demands robust digital solutions. With this alliance, we are prepared to deliver a complete and flexible system that meets everything from the design to the operation of the plants,” highlighted Automa’s commercial director, Giorgio Inforzato. He adds that the company’s plan is to expand its presence in Europe, leveraging the industrial structure of the Spanish partner.
Collaboration Aims at Energy Transition and Digital Efficiency
By combining their experiences, Mtech and Automa intend to meet the growing demand for integrated solutions that facilitate the transition to a cleaner and more efficient energy matrix.
The alliance seeks to accelerate the development of projects that connect sustainable energy production to digital intelligence, actively contributing to the current challenges of modernizing the electricity sector.
