Initiative Includes Training Programs for Young Electricians
Enel Distribuição São Paulo celebrated an important milestone this Thursday by announcing the hiring of 1,200 new professionals who will join its operations. The announcement was made during a special event at the company’s location in Jaguaré, west zone of São Paulo, highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to improving service and technical support in the field.
Robust Hiring Plan
This new group of hires is part of an expansive plan aimed at nearly doubling the number of employees dedicated to maintenance, emergency response, and reducing energy losses. Antonio Scala, president of Enel Brasil, led the presentation, emphasizing that more than 180 professionals have already joined the team as a first step in this ambitious expansion project.
Future-Focused Programs
In addition to the hiring, Enel São Paulo is also launching two new educational programs aimed at young electricians. The first is the “Young Apprentice” program, which aligns with the Apprenticeship Law requiring the company to reserve 5% of its technical positions for apprentices. Enel plans to double this quota to 10% in 2024, offering opportunities for 200 young individuals starting in the second semester.
