90 billion barrels of oil, 1.669 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, and 84% of probable reserves in offshore areas are under the Arctic, and the melting ice that opens maritime routes and exposes this energy treasure is turning the North Pole into a strategic dispute between the USA, Russia, China, and Canada for oil, gas, navigation, and military power.
The refinery began operations in March 1980. It is currently responsible for supplying the São Paulo market and the Midwest region of the country, with a capacity to process 40,000 m³/d (252,000 barrels/day), equivalent to 14% of the national production of derivatives of oil. Revap can process 100% national oil, currently operating with a mix ranging from 80% to 90% of Brazilian product and the remainder from imported oil.
EQS Engenharia Services at Revap Will Be Done During Maintenance Shutdowns
The services on Revap’s boiler making equipment will be performed during the so-called Maintenance Shutdowns. This process is of great importance in industries, as many of the equipment cannot be taken out of production for repair services or similar.
The main products of the refinery include diluted asphalt, asphalt cement, coke, sulfur, carbon dioxide, gasoline, LPG, light refinery hydrocarbon (HLR), naphtha, fuel oil, diesel, propylene, aviation kerosene (QAV-1), and medium solvent.
