Faetec Opens Over 7,000 Vacancies Throughout the State of Rio for Basic Education, Technical Level Specialization, and Higher Education!
Faetec, an agency linked to the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation (Secti), announced the opening of a notice for entry in 2023 in all units of the State of Rio de Janeiro. There are over 7,000 vacancies open for the 2023 school year through the Foundation for Technical Education Support for Basic Education, Technical Level Specialization, and Higher Education. According to the notice, the 7,070 vacancies opened by Faetec Rio will be distributed among the segments: Early Childhood Education; Elementary Education; High School (General Education, Normal High School, and Integrated); Technical High School (Concurrent External and Subsequent); Technical Level Specialization; and Higher Education.
“We are offering over seven thousand opportunities for the population of Rio de Janeiro to have access to quality free education. It is rewarding to know that more than seven thousand people will have a chance for a better life through education,” stated Iranildo Campos, president of Faetec.

According to the Notice, 40% of the 7,070 vacancies are allocated to the quota system, reserved for candidates who are proven to be socioeconomically disadvantaged and who compete in the condition of public school or Black/Brown/Indigenous.
For those who wish to apply for a vacancy in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education (Isepam, Iserj, and EEEF Antônio Sarlo), and High School (General and Normal), the selection process will be through a lottery. For candidates applying to the other Faetec units, an objective evaluation will be administered on January 29. Exam candidates will also write an essay, in addition to the objective test.
It is important to note that if the vacancies are not fully filled, they may be made available to other approved candidates on the waiting list.
Registration: Registrations can be made until December 22, exclusively online, through the website of the organizing body of the competition, HERE. The registration fee will be R$ 55.12 and payment can be made until December 23.
