Fiat Compact SUV Maintains Sporty Proposal, Gains Electric Seats, New Visual, and More Equipment in the 2026 Line
The Fiat Pulse Abarth 2026 is now available at dealerships with some specific changes, but they are important for those looking for a compact SUV with real sporty appeal. The version prepared by the Abarth division retains the 1.3 turbo engine with direct injection of 185 hp and now comes standard with a fixed sunroof, front seats with electric adjustments, and a renewed exterior design.
With a suggested price of R$ 157,990, the model stands out as the only national compact SUV with this level of performance in that price range. Even without structural changes in the mechanical setup, the Pulse Abarth remains one of the most interesting options for those who value sportiness without sacrificing urban comfort.
Refined Design and Factory Sunroof

In the 2026 line, the Pulse Abarth showcases a new front bumper, redesigned grille with glossy black details, and the exclusion of the front scorpion, which has now been replaced by the highlighted inscription “Abarth.” The 18-inch wheels also feature a new design, and the optical set includes full LED headlights with DRL and dynamic turn signals.

End of the wet belt? A new engine kit allows replacing the belt with a chain and promises to prevent a failure that can seize the Peugeot and Citroën 1.2 PureTech engine after critical wear that clogs the oil pump.

BYD changes the warranty for electric and hybrid cars in Brazil, creates a new mileage limit for 2026/2027 models, alters battery rules, modifies commercial use coverage, and makes drivers look at the manual with new eyes before buying.

Sales boom: Automotive sector enters an accelerated pace in 2026 after new car sales reached the best result since 2013 and boosted automakers in Brazil.
Another significant advancement is the inclusion of the fixed glass sunroof as a standard item — previously exclusive to the Pulse Impetus with additional cost. Although it is not tilting, the element adds more sophistication to the exterior finish and enhances brightness inside.
Interior with More Comfort and Technology

The cabin of the Fiat Pulse Abarth 2026 has undergone improvements in finish and equipment. The front seats now have electric adjustment, along with a new look featuring red stitching and separate headrest. The multifunction steering wheel includes the “Poison” button, which activates the sport driving mode.
Among the internal highlights, the model offers:
- Configurable 7″ Digital Dashboard
- 10.1″ Multimedia Center with Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Digital Automatic Air Conditioning
- Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold Function
- Wireless Cell Phone Charger
- Two USB Ports (Type A and C) in the Front and Rear
- Electrochromatic Rearview Mirror and LED Interior Lights
The finish has leather upholstery with red details and textured plastic. The rear area has reasonable space, its own lighting, split seats with ISOFIX, and an exclusive air outlet for the Abarth version.
Sporty Performance and Reliable Transmission
The heart of the Pulse Abarth remains the acclaimed 1.3 Turbo T270 engine with direct injection, 185 hp on ethanol (180 hp on gasoline), and 27.5 kgfm of torque with a six-speed Aisin automatic transmission.
This powertrain is the same used in larger Stellantis models, such as the Fiat Toro, Jeep Renegade, and Fastback, but in the Pulse it delivers a more favorable power-to-weight ratio, which translates into rapid accelerations and vigorous recoveries. The traction is front-wheel drive, and the system uses a timing chain, which is more durable and reliable than timing belts.
According to Inmetro, fuel consumption is 10.5 km/l in the city and 12.2 km/l on the highway with gasoline, a reasonable performance for a model with this power proposition.
Safety and Assistances
The safety package includes six airbags, stability control, hill start assist, autonomous emergency braking, front collision warning, and lane-keeping assist. Items such as ACC (adaptive cruise control) and blind spot detector are missing — which may disappoint considering the price range and sporty positioning.
Is the Fiat Pulse Abarth 2026 Worth It?
For R$ 157,000, the Fiat Pulse Abarth 2026 is one of the few national options that delivers real performance above 180 hp with a distinct visual, sporty finish, and a good equipment package. The inclusion of the sunroof, electric seats, and interior improvements have made the model more competitive against rivals like the Volkswagen Nivus GTS (150 hp), which costs nearly R$ 30,000 more.

Único automóvel verdadeiramente esportivo. Os outros são só faixinhas frizinhos. O modo “Poison” é espetacular, um canhão. Não vi nada igual. Ótimo carro. Tive um Fiat Rallye 1979 por 45 anos. Comprei zero.
