The Caoa Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Is an SUV With Great Appeal Due to Its Premium Level Set and Space for Up to Seven Passengers. However, the Final Value of the Financing May Surprise — Even With Significant Down Payment, Interest and Long Terms Directly Impact What You Really Pay
The Caoa Chery Tiggo 8 Pro has arrived renewed in the 2025 lineup. More modern, better equipped, and with an updated look, the seven-seater SUV is one of the most complete options in the category.
Even with so many standard features and a focus on comfort, it also comes with an interesting price.
-
With 122 hp, fuel consumption of up to 17.7 km/l, and a trunk capacity of 440 liters, this hybrid SUV impresses even though it costs up to R$ 47,000 more than the Yaris — meet the Toyota Corolla Cross.
-
600 km with three Chinese plug-in SUVs, same mode and air conditioning on: Jaecoo 7, BYD Song Plus, and Haval H6 hit the road, and the pump reveals who was truly the most economical.
-
With a price almost R$ 100 thousand lower, the Haval H9 surpasses the SW4 for the first time in March, but Toyota still leads in the accumulated total for 2026; the Chinese SUV bets on technology and premium finishing to compete at the top.
-
6 used cars that cost less than a new Honda CG 160 Titan and still provide trunk space, four seats, and comfort that many new motorcycles cannot offer.
Therefore, we conducted a realistic financing simulation to understand how much it actually costs to put a Tiggo 8 Pro in the garage with a financing.
New Version, More Technological
The Tiggo 8 Pro 2025 brought important changes to the package.
The Max Drive version is retired, and the old look gives way to a more refined design.
Inside, the main news is the integration of the screens.
Now, the digital dashboard connects to the multimedia center with native GPS and wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other items have also been upgraded. The sound system is now from Sony, there is wireless charging, and new front seats with electric adjustments.
The ADAS safety package has also become more complete.
There are six airbags, adaptive cruise control (ACC), autonomous emergency braking, a 360° camera, cross-traffic alert, and lane-keeping assist, among other features.
All these features make it clear that the Tiggo 8 could be a great choice. It offers good value for money.
Turbo Engine and Space for the Family
The engine remains the 1.6 turbo gasoline, now with 187 hp and a dual-clutch automated transmission.
The proposal remains that of a spacious SUV, with good performance and a focus on large families.
With seven seats and comfort for all occupants, the Tiggo 8 Pro 2025 was elected the seven-seater vehicle with the best cost-benefit in Brazil this year.
However, as all this structure has a cost, the price of the model is not among the most accessible — the value used in the simulation was R$ 200 thousand.
Simulation: How Much Does It Cost to Finance a Tiggo 8 Pro?
For those who cannot pay for the Tiggo 8 Pro upfront, financing is one of the most common solutions.
We conducted a simulation with a down payment of R$ 120 thousand and the rest financed in 60 installments, with monthly interest of 1.80%. See the simulation details:
- Vehicle Price: R$ 200,000
- Down Payment: R$ 120,000
- Term: 60 months
- Interest: 1.80% per month
- Monthly Installment: R$ 2,191.36
- Total Paid in Installments: R$ 131,481.44
- Total Final (Down Payment + Installments): R$ 251,481.44
- Total Interest Paid: R$ 51,481.44
- Percentage of Interest Over Vehicle Price: 25.74%
How Did We Arrive at the Percentage of 25.74%
To determine how much the interest represents in the vehicle price, we used a simple rule of three.
We know that the car’s price is R$ 200,000.00 and that the interest paid over the financing amounts to R$ 51,481.44.
We divided this interest amount by the total value of the car and multiplied by 100 to find the percentage.
The calculation was as follows: (51,481.44 ÷ 200,000.00) × 100 = 25.74%.
This shows that, even financing only part of the price, the interest represents almost 26% of the vehicle’s price.
The simulation makes it clear that, despite the high down payment, financing still generates a considerable amount of interest.
Is It Worth It?
The Tiggo 8 Pro 2025 delivers a lot in terms of space, technology, and safety.
It is a rational choice for those seeking comfort for the whole family and who do not give up on modern features. However, it is important to pay attention to the total cost of financing.
Even with a strong down payment of 60% of the vehicle’s value, the interest over five years exceeds R$ 50 thousand.
If the customer can negotiate better rates or shorter terms, the impact of the interest can be reduced.
Another option is to invest this down payment for a longer time and try to buy the car outright in the future.
In the end, the Tiggo 8 Pro is an excellent choice — but like every expensive car, it requires strict financial planning.
It is important to highlight that the values presented throughout the article are part of a simulation based on a hypothetical scenario. Real financing conditions, such as interest rates, installment amounts, and credit approval, vary according to each consumer’s profile and the policies of financial institutions. To obtain accurate and personalized results, it is ideal to consult directly with banks, financial institutions, or authorized dealerships.
