Firjan Sesi has opened registrations for 120 spots in high school integrated with technical training, in partnership with Firjan Senai, in the municipality of Nova Friburgo, located in the Serrana Region of Rio de Janeiro. Interested individuals can register until November 9 through the official Firjan Sesi website.

The selection process offers a complete and free education, combining regular education with professional training.

Firjan Senai Sesi Career Office, which will connect students directly to job opportunities in the industry, a sector that, according to the institution, has the highest starting salaries in the country.

Who Can Apply for Firjan Sesi and Senai Vacancies?

Young people who are at least 14 years old by December 2025 and who are completing or have completed the 9th grade of elementary school may participate.

Classes will begin in 2026, on a full-time schedule, including Saturday classes.

The opportunities are part of a state education network by Firjan Sesi, which offers vacancies in 17 units across Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to Nova Friburgo, there are participating schools in Macaé, Petrópolis, Três Rios, Volta Redonda, Resende, Barra do Piraí, Barra Mansa, and Itaperuna, as well as units in the Metropolitan Region, such as Tijuca, Maracanã, Laranjeiras, Jacarepaguá, Benfica, Duque de Caxias, Nova Iguaçu, and São Gonçalo.

In total, there are more than 2,000 free spots throughout the state.

Exams and Selection

The in-person exam will take place on November 29, 2025 and will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions, covering the subjects of Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Human Sciences.

The process also reserves 5% of the vacancies in each unit for people with disabilities (PWD) — physical, visual, auditory, intellectual, or with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Technical Education and Complete Training from Firjan Sesi

The program offers high school linked with technical training, allowing students to choose two areas of knowledge each year — Languages, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or Human Sciences.

The curriculum also includes robotics, maker art, creative workshops, and scientific development, with activities focused on creativity and contemporary art.

According to Vinicius Mano, manager of Basic Education at Firjan Sesi, the goal is to provide a complete education:

“High school is of great importance not only for the lives of young people but also for their insertion into the job market. In addition to the technical training with Firjan Senai, our curriculum offers over 4,000 hours of study, including classes in robotics and maker art, providing a complete, human-focused education tailored to the job market.”
