Dream of Being an Officer May Be Within Your Reach! FAB Will Open Positions for Aviators, Quartermasters, and, for the First Time, for Women in the Infantry!

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) announced the opening of the Admission Exam for the Training Courses for Aviator Officers, Quartermasters, and Infantry (CFOAV-INT-INF/2026), offering 50 spots for admission in 2026.

For the first time, the Infantry Course (CFOINF) will accept women, marking a significant advancement in female inclusion within the Air Force.

Registrations will be open from April 7 to 28, 2025, exclusively through the official FAB website, until 9 AM (Brasília time).

The registration fee is R$ 120.00. The written exams are scheduled for July 6, 2025 and will be held in several cities across Brazil.

Requirements to Participate

To compete for one of the spots, candidates must meet the criteria set forth in the notice. Among the main requirements are:

  • Be between 17 and 22 years old by December 31, 2026;
  • Have completed High School by the date of the Final Concentration of the Exam;
  • Volunteer for the selection process;
  • Meet the other criteria outlined in the official notice.

Candidates who meet these requirements will proceed to the next stages of the selection process.

How the Selection Process Will Work

The FAB competition consists of several eliminatory and classificatory phases. Applicants will need to pass:

  • Written exams in Portuguese, English, mathematics, physics, and essay;
  • Health Inspection, which will evaluate the medical conditions of the candidates;
  • Psychological Aptitude Test, to assess cognitive and emotional aspects;
  • Physical Conditioning Assessment Test (TACF), which requires performance in push-ups, sit-ups, and running;
  • Complementary Heteroidentification Procedure, for candidates applying for reserved spots for black individuals;
  • Document Validation, a phase that confirms the information provided during registration.

Air Force Academy and Military Training

Candidates who are approved in all phases and selected by the Special Evaluation Board (JEA) will be summoned to present themselves at the Air Force Academy (AFA), located in Pirassununga (SP), on January 11, 2026.

The training course lasts four years and is conducted in a boarding school format.

During this period, cadets receive military, academic, and professional training, with subjects focused on preparing future Air Force officers.

The AFA is recognized for its cutting-edge teaching structure and disciplinary rigor, preparing students for strategic missions of the FAB.

Benefits During Training

Students at the Air Force Academy receive various benefits, including:

  • Monthly stipend;
  • Food and accommodation provided by the institution;
  • Military uniforms;
  • Access to medical and dental care;
  • Specialized physical and technical training.

Career After Course Completion

At the end of the four years, graduates are appointed Aspirants to Officer in the Air Force and assigned to Military Organizations of the Air Force Command (COMAER).

From that moment, they officially serve as members of the FAB, with the opportunity to pursue a career within the organization and ascend hierarchically according to service time and performance.

Graduates can perform strategic functions in the three specialties of the course:

  • Aviator Officers: act as military pilots on air defense, patrol, and transport missions;
  • Quartermaster Officers: are responsible for the administrative and financial management of FAB units;
  • Infantry Officers: conduct the security and land defense of air bases and Air Force facilities.

With an attractive starting salary and opportunities for career advancement, the training offered by FAB represents a great opportunity for those seeking stability and professional growth in military service.

How to Register

To register for the Admission Exam to the FAB Officer Training Courses, interested parties should access the official Brazilian Air Force website during the period from April 7 to 28, 2025.

All detailed information regarding the selection process is available in the notice, which can be consulted on the FAB portal.
