The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) announced the opening of the Admission Exam for the Training Courses for Aviator Officers, Quartermasters, and Infantry (CFOAV-INT-INF/2026), offering 50 spots for admission in 2026.
For the first time, the Infantry Course (CFOINF) will accept women, marking a significant advancement in female inclusion within the Air Force.
Registrations will be open from April 7 to 28, 2025, exclusively through the official FAB website, until 9 AM (Brasília time).

The registration fee is R$ 120.00. The written exams are scheduled for July 6, 2025 and will be held in several cities across Brazil.
Requirements to Participate
To compete for one of the spots, candidates must meet the criteria set forth in the notice. Among the main requirements are:
- Be between 17 and 22 years old by December 31, 2026;
- Have completed High School by the date of the Final Concentration of the Exam;
- Volunteer for the selection process;
- Meet the other criteria outlined in the official notice.

How the Selection Process Will Work
The FAB competition consists of several eliminatory and classificatory phases. Applicants will need to pass:
- Written exams in Portuguese, English, mathematics, physics, and essay;
- Health Inspection, which will evaluate the medical conditions of the candidates;
- Psychological Aptitude Test, to assess cognitive and emotional aspects;
- Physical Conditioning Assessment Test (TACF), which requires performance in push-ups, sit-ups, and running;
- Complementary Heteroidentification Procedure, for candidates applying for reserved spots for black individuals;
- Document Validation, a phase that confirms the information provided during registration.
Air Force Academy and Military Training
Candidates who are approved in all phases and selected by the Special Evaluation Board (JEA) will be summoned to present themselves at the Air Force Academy (AFA), located in Pirassununga (SP), on January 11, 2026.
The training course lasts four years and is conducted in a boarding school format.
During this period, cadets receive military, academic, and professional training, with subjects focused on preparing future Air Force officers.
The AFA is recognized for its cutting-edge teaching structure and disciplinary rigor, preparing students for strategic missions of the FAB.

Graduates can perform strategic functions in the three specialties of the course:

- Infantry Officers: conduct the security and land defense of air bases and Air Force facilities.
