Compact model from the Mijia line combines dual drum, high-temperature cycles, and connected features to wash small items in separate compartments, focusing on users who need to save space and maintain more frequent hygiene routines.
Xiaomi announced in China the Mijia Mini Dual-Zone Washing and Drying Machine 1kg, a compact washer and dryer with two independent compartments, designed to wash small items separately, such as underwear, socks, light towels, and children’s items.
With an initial price of 1,499 yuan, equivalent to about R$ 1,1 thousand in approximate conversion, the model entered pre-sale in the Chinese market and had sales starting on May 30, 2026.
The proposal stated by the manufacturer is to cater to consumers living in compact apartments or who prefer to separate intimate items and baby clothes from other items used in the household routine.

Xiaomi’s dual drum separates underwear, socks, and children’s items
The dual-zone washing and drying system allows the use of separate compartments in simultaneous or independent cycles, reducing contact between different types of clothing during the appliance’s operation.
According to information released in the Chinese market, the structure uses two small drums, each with a washing capacity of 0.5 kg, totaling 1 kg.
In the drying stage, each compartment holds up to 0.2 kg of light items, a limit that positions the product for small and frequent cycles, rather than large loads of clothes.
This configuration caters to smaller volume washes, especially items that are usually separated by hygiene or fabric type, such as underwear, socks, small cloths, and children’s items.
Xiaomi states that the two compartments use independent water inlets and outlets, a feature that, according to the manufacturer, prevents cross-contamination between the washing zones.
This technical design serves users who wish to separate delicate clothes from items with more dirt accumulation, without resorting to different cycles in a conventional larger capacity washer.
Washing at 95 °C reinforces focus on hygiene for small items

In addition to the dual drum, the Mijia Mini Dual-Zone Washing and Drying Machine 1kg offers high-temperature cycles, with washing reaching up to 95 °C, according to data released by Xiaomi.
The feature is presented by the manufacturer as an option for sanitizing small items and helping to remove more resistant dirt, especially in washing underwear and children’s items.
The machine also has a high-temperature drum self-cleaning function, aimed at internal maintenance of the equipment after continuous use cycles.
With this process, the device removes accumulated residues inside the compartments, according to Xiaomi, which can be relevant in a machine dedicated to items in direct contact with the skin.
Another piece of data released about the model involves efficiency rates for specific stains, including protein residues and blood stains, presented in the manufacturer’s Chinese material.
These indicators depend on local testing criteria and, therefore, should not be directly compared with certifications or measurements adopted in other markets without the same methodology.
The product’s commercial proposal is to act as a complementary washer for quick cycles and selected items, rather than replacing conventional machines used for larger volumes of clothes.
Intelligent sensor drying automatically adjusts the cycle
In the drying stage, the device uses sensor monitoring to adjust the operation according to the internal conditions of temperature and humidity during the cycle.
These sensors track the process in real-time and help stop the operation when the items reach the drying point defined by the system.
The automatic control is described by Xiaomi as a way to reduce prolonged heat exposure, a condition that can affect delicate fabrics when the process occurs for an excessive time.
The manufacturer also states that the model uses low-temperature drying, a feature incorporated into the set of functions aimed at preserving items during smaller cycles.
In children’s clothing, this control can have practical importance because small, body-fitting fabrics may suffer changes in fit when subjected to intense heat for long periods.
Despite these features, the reduced capacity limits the use of the equipment and indicates that the machine does not replace a conventional washer and dryer in households with a larger volume of clothes.
The product focus remains on small volumes, separate cycles, and frequent maintenance of parts that often require recurrent washing in daily life.

HyperOS connects the mini washer and dryer to the Mijia ecosystem
As with other products in the Mijia line, the new compact washer was developed to operate within Xiaomi’s smart ecosystem.
The control can be done via an app, with remote access to washing modes, operational adjustments, and connected features compatible with the brand’s platform.
The model offers 23 washing programs, a number reported in Chinese market releases and higher than the initial indication of more than 20 modes.
With this variety, the user can select cycles according to the type of garment, sanitation needs, and level of dirt identified before washing.
There is also support for integration with Xiaomi’s connected platform, associated with HyperOS, as well as compatibility with voice commands in the company’s ecosystem.
The availability of these features depends on the active services in each region and the local integration of Xiaomi’s connected devices.
Connectivity differentiates the product from basic mini washers by allowing software adjustments and remote access, without limiting use to the physical commands installed on the device.
Compact machine targets small apartments and quick routines
The reduced size places the Mijia Mini Dual-Zone Washing and Drying Machine 1kg among products aimed at environments with little space available for appliances.
Small apartments, shared rooms, and smaller service areas are among the scenarios where a compact washer can meet specific washing demands.
The 1 kg capacity, however, limits its use and prevents the model from being treated as a direct alternative to larger machines.
The device accommodates small quantities per cycle and was not developed to wash heavy clothes, bedding, large towels, or accumulated volumes for an entire family.
Even so, the zone separation can serve consumers who wash intimate clothing separately or need to sanitize children’s items frequently throughout the week.
In these cases, the use of independent compartments reduces the need to wait for a larger load to activate a traditional washing machine.
This positioning accompanies the offer of compact and connected appliances in the Chinese market, a segment where manufacturers combine specific functions, smaller space occupancy, and app integration.
Price of Mijia Mini Dual-Zone is R$ 1,1 thousand in China
Xiaomi confirmed the launch initially for the Chinese market, with pre-sale and debut price of 1,499 yuan.
Regular sales were scheduled to start on May 30, 2026, according to information released by local channels and materials associated with the launch in the country.
So far, there is no confirmed official launch in Brazil, nor have national price, arrival date, or potential product adaptation for other markets been informed.
In the event of independent importation, the final value may differ from the direct conversion due to shipping, taxes, resale margin, and exchange rate variation.
For this reason, the equivalent in reais serves only as an approximate reference of the price announced in China, without representing an official value for Brazilian consumers.
The mini dual-drum washer and dryer expands Xiaomi’s line of connected appliances and brings together automation, specialized cycles, and software integration in equipment intended for small loads.
