Yinson Production Names FPSO Atlanta with Process Plant and Closed Flare System, at Ceremony in Dubai Drydocks World on December 13.
Yinson Production announced the official naming of its newest floating production unit, FPSO Atlanta, during a ceremony held at Dubai Drydocks World on December 13, 2023.
The FPSO Atlanta has a production capacity of 50,000 BOPD and a maximum storage capacity of 1,251,000 barrels. In addition, FPSO Atlanta features a process plant for carbon management, which uses fuel gas for tank inerting, significantly reducing flare gas emissions through a closed flare system.
FPSO Atlanta: Letter of Intent and Firm Contracts
Yinson Production and Enauta signed a letter of intent regarding FPSO Atlanta in December 2021 and later signed firm contracts for engineering, procurement, construction and installation, operation, and maintenance for an initial period of 2 years, along with a purchase option for Yinson Production in February 2022. In July 2023, Yinson Production exercised its purchase option for FPSO Atlanta with a firm 15-year contract (plus a 5-year extension option) for supply, operation, and maintenance with a total contract value of up to US$ 1.981 billion, along with project financing of US$ 400 million.
