New Notice for the Funai Contest Should Be Opened Soon and Will Provide More Than 1000 Job Vacancies

As it is among the federal government’s priorities, it is expected that Funai will open the notice for its contest and offer more than 1000 job vacancies divided between high school and higher education. Learn more about the institution.

Funai (National Indian Foundation) is a Brazilian public agency responsible for formulating and executing the federal government’s indigenous policy. Its mission is to protect and promote the rights of indigenous peoples in Brazil, ensuring their participation in the country’s development process while respecting their traditions and ways of life.

Among Funai’s main activities are the demarcation and protection of indigenous lands, the registration and monitoring of indigenous populations, the promotion of dialogue between indigenous communities and civil society, in addition to other activities aimed at ensuring the preservation of the rights of indigenous peoples.

Funai President Speaks About the Contest and the Availability of Job Vacancies

The Funai contest is one of the proposals of the institution’s president, Deputy Joenia Wapichana (Sustainability Network). According to her, the government is already aware of the issues faced by indigenous peoples in Brazil and aims to resolve them as soon as possible. Additionally, upon taking her position at Funai, she promised to resume the progress of the contest and restructure the staff, offering new job vacancies.

According to the deputy, Funai employees have undergone a process of disorientation, which has resulted in an even greater loss of rights for indigenous peoples. The job vacancies offered in the contest will be aimed at organized, proactive individuals interested in directly contributing to the consolidation of rights for indigenous populations.
