Last Week, the Board of Directors of Gerdau Approved the Release of a Partnership Between Gerdau Next. S.A. and Random Serviços e Participações Ltda., Where There Will Be Equal Participation of 50% for Each Company.
Initially, the partnership will provide truck and semi-trailer rental services, aiming to deliver appropriate solutions to transporters and shippers of cargo. In addition, Gerdau Next and Random signed binding instruments that guarantee the intention of the parties, in an investment of R$250 million, contributed by the partner companies, in proportion to their equity participation. After this initial contribution, the partnership will seek other sources of fundraising.
The partnership demonstrates Gerdau Next’s interest, Gerdau’s new business division, in diversifying its steel business portfolio, which aims to enhance its operational strategy with an ecosystem full of solutions for the sector. Thus, the formalization of the partnership is subject to usual precedent conditions in operations of this type, including approval by competition authorities.
