Samsung launches 20 kg Bespoke AI washer and dryer with heat pump, 7” screen, smart sensors, and app control to save energy.

In 2025, Samsung Brazil reinforced its commitment to connected home laundry by highlighting, in a publication on July 18, the Bespoke AI Laundry Heat Pump WD20D Washer and Dryer, a model with a 20 kg washing capacity and 15 kg drying capacity, a colorful 7-inch AI Home screen, SmartThings connectivity, and artificial intelligence features designed to adjust cycles according to usage. The proposal is not just to wash and dry clothes, but to transform the appliance into a connected system capable of monitoring consumption, recommending programs, and integrating the laundry routine into the home’s digital ecosystem.

According to Samsung itself, the appliance uses AI Wash, with sensors capable of detecting weight, fabric softness, and water dirt level to automatically adjust water, detergent, and wash cycles. The technical highlight is the combination of AI Dry and Heat Pump technology, which dries clothes with humidity and temperature control, while the manufacturer states that the system can reduce energy consumption during drying by up to 70%, in addition to allowing remote control, notifications, and usage analysis via the SmartThings app.
