Chinese Company Bets on Innovation and Energy Independence to Strengthen Strategic Sectors
A strategic move by the Chinese GoodWe is redefining the Brazilian energy landscape. Since 2020, the company has been increasing investments in hybrid solar technologies and battery storage systems, reinforcing agribusiness and the national industry with economy, efficiency, and sustainability.
Technological Solutions Strengthen Agriculture and Industry
In the pursuit of competitiveness and energy independence, GoodWe introduced state-of-the-art hybrid inverters and high-capacity batteries in Brazil. According to data from the Brazilian Solar Photovoltaic Energy Association (Absolar), solar energy has grown by more than 200% since 2019, consolidating itself as one of the most relevant sources for the national grid.
According to Fábio Mendes, Vice President of GoodWe for South America, “the strategy is to support the rapidly expanding sectors. We offer hybrid solutions that combine efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction”, he stated in March 2024 during a meeting with industry entrepreneurs in São Paulo.

Direct Impact on Brazilian Agriculture
In agribusiness, GoodWe’s projects have reached producers across the country. Since 2021, hybrid systems installed in irrigation, center pivots, and large-scale structures enable up to 70% reduction in electricity costs.
The advantages are numerous:
- Less dependence on utility companies;
- Operation with low maintenance costs;
- Stable and secure energy;
- Greater autonomy in the field;
- Direct contribution to sustainable practices.
According to a report by Embrapa released in 2023, the adoption of renewable sources in agribusiness grows on average 15% per year, consolidating solar energy as a strategic partner for the field.
Expansion into the Industrial Sector
The industry is also benefiting from the expansion of hybrid solutions. Since 2022, medium and large factories have used GoodWe equipment to reduce operational costs and ensure stability in energy supply.
In an interview with the newspaper Valor Econômico in April 2024, Mendes emphasized:
“We are committed to supporting entrepreneurs seeking energy independence and greater global competitiveness”.
Sustainability and Market Leadership
The results of the strategy align with the profile of the Brazilian electricity matrix. According to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, in 2023, 93% of national generation came from renewable sources, with solar accounting for 17% of that total.
GoodWe, with a solid presence in over 100 countries, reinforces this movement by prioritizing Brazil as a key market. The goal is to make the country increasingly sustainable and competitive in the international scenario, balancing efficiency and environmental preservation.
The Future of Clean Energy in Brazil
Experts believe that the expansion of hybrid solar energy in the country could represent a turning point for the agricultural and industrial sectors. However, success depends on transparent governance, continuous investments, and the integration of technologies with sustainable practices.
Meanwhile, Brazilian producers and entrepreneurs are already reaping immediate results in the form of energy autonomy, cost reduction, and greater competitiveness.
In light of this scenario, the question is clear: Should Brazil accelerate the large-scale adoption of these technologies to enhance its global leadership in renewable energy or invest in gradual and sustainable growth, ensuring the preservation of its natural resources?
