Million-dollar agreement for Cascavel
According to Governor Ratinho Junior, the State allocated R$25,4 million to the city of Cascavel, with R$18 million coming from the State Secretariat for Cities.
The remaining amount, approximately R$7,4 million, will be matched by the city government.
This investment is intended for construction and modernization of marginal roads of BR-277, especially in the section that connects the industrial center to the exit to Foz do Iguaçu and Cascavel Municipal Airport.
According to authorities, the project seeks to resolve historical bottlenecks in the local infrastructure, directly benefiting around 10 workers who travel through the region daily.
“It is a complete project, which not only improves urban mobility, but also contributes to the quality of life of workers”, highlighted Governor Ratinho Junior.
Improvements planned for the work
The project includes widening the marginal roads of BR-277, increasing its width from 7 to 9 meters.
In total, there will be 1.780 meters of widening between Rua Guarujá and the airport, in addition to another 4.504 meters between Avenida Tito Muffato and the company MA Máquinas.
A cycle path of over 6 kilometers and sidewalks for pedestrians are also among the improvements, ensuring greater safety and accessibility.
Another new feature is the installation of LED lighting along the entire stretch, which promises greater energy efficiency and safety at night.
As the governor explained, the work covers not only urban mobility, but also reinforces the state government's commitment to sustainability and urban development.
Impacts on the industrial region
The industrial center of Cascavel is one of the city's main economic hubs, and the daily flow of workers in the region reaches 10 people.
According to Mayor Paranhos, the support of the state government has been crucial in overcoming long-standing infrastructure challenges.
“With these works, we are solving historical problems that compromised the city’s growth and the quality of life of its residents,” said the mayor.
In addition to facilitating the movement of workers, the modernization of the highways should also attract new investments to the region.
The expectation is that the improvements will contribute to increasing Cascavel's competitiveness as a destination for companies and industries.
Bidding and start of works
The city government announced that the bidding process will be announced later this week, an essential step to begin construction.
According to Paranhos, the expectation is that work will begin soon, ensuring that the population sees the results as soon as possible.
“We are looking forward to starting this project that will transform urban mobility and bring benefits to thousands of people,” he said.
A work that goes beyond mobility
With significant investment and a comprehensive plan, the marginal project of BR-277 stands out as one of the most important in the recent history of Cascavel.
The initiative not only improves urban infrastructure, but also signals a clear commitment to the well-being of the population and the economic development of the region.
