To encourage education, the Government of the State of São Paulo will offer grants of up to R$600 to Novotec Expresso students. The goal is that by 2022, the aid can reach more than double this total
This Wednesday (11) the Government of the State of São Paulo announced aid of up to R$ 600 for 30 high school students from the public school system who take Novotec Expresso after school. The government will invest a total of BRL 18 million and will be distributed through the Secretariat for Economic Development.

According to Rossieli Soares, State Secretary for Education, Novotec Expresso has a great influence in bringing knowledge to schools and reaching the largest number of students. This is an essential step towards a promising future, making it increasingly necessary to work together.
Novotec Expresso is offered to students through SDE in partnership with Seduc and receives, in addition to support from the São Paulo government, support from ETECs and FATECs and private suppliers. Currently, registration for the modality is open until August 15, offering more than 37 places for students in 28 free professional qualification courses in 129 cities.
Government aid aims to reach 70 students by 2022
According to the Secretary of Economic Development, Patrícia Ellen, the government wants to have a good performance, which is to increase the demand of students wanting the courses and to have many young people occupy job vacancies and entrepreneurship.
The aid from the government of São Paulo will be divided into R$ 150 per month for students during the four-month course. It is estimated that more than 70 scholarships will be offered by 2022, with an investment that could reach the mark of 42 million.
The expectation is that up to 30 of the total 97.810 vacancies can receive assistance from the Government of São Paulo. In the case of students between 14 and 15 years old, it will be necessary to indicate a person responsible for the distribution of the aid and that the family income is up to three minimum wages.
To receive the scholarship, students must attend at least 75% of the course and cannot use the unemployment insurance benefit. Payment will be offered starting in October and will take place through the Bolsa do Povo portal.

Novotec does not have a selection process, any young person between 14 and 24 years old, with complete primary education can apply for a vacancy. It is worth mentioning that it is necessary to pay attention to the classification criteria used to select students.
To enroll, simply access the program's website and perform a simple registration. On the registration screen, select the municipality of São Paulo that you are interested in. Right after check out the courses and select only one. Then, students must confirm their interest in enrolling. Classes are scheduled to start on the 30th of August. And communication with students will be via email.
