If you are planning to start your studies in the second semester of this year, the Federal Institute of the Southeast of Minas Gerais (IF Sudeste MG) is already open for enrollment for a wide range of free courses. The institution announced the announcements of its new selection process, which offers more than 750 vacancies in technical, undergraduate, and graduate courses, both in-person and remote, in various cities. This is an excellent opportunity to enter the Federal Institute without the need to use the ENEM score.

The vacancies in free courses at the Federal Institute are distributed in the cities of Barbacena, Juiz de Fora, Rio Pomba, Manhuaçu, Santos Dumont, and São João del-Rei. Among the free distance education undergraduate courses at the Federal Institute without using ENEM are:

This new selection process for free distance education undergraduate courses at the Federal Institute is the implementation of the new Quota Law. It establishes that candidates will compete for reserved slots (50% of the total) only if they do not achieve the scores needed for admission through the open competition vacancies.

Follow The Steps Below To Enroll And Enter The Federal Institute Without Using ENEM
Candidates must enroll in the free courses selection process at the Federal Institute from March 28 to May 7, starting from a computer, through the IF Sudeste MG page. The participating units of the selection also foresee in-person assistance for registration, at hours that can be checked in the announcements. Access to the registration system will be done from the candidate’s account.
For candidates for technical courses, enrollment is free. However, for candidates for free distance education degrees, the fee is R$ 50.00. The payment of the GRU can be made until May 8, exclusively at Bank of Brazil branches and correspondents.
The investment is only related to the selection stage, as the Federal Institute is a public institution and does not charge tuition for any of its free courses.
Understand How The Waiver And Selection Process For Free Courses Works
For the first time in a selection process at IF Sudeste MG, the request for a waiver must be made during the enrollment period, more specifically between March 28 and April 8. Candidates who are entitled to the waiver must wait for the announcement of the final result of the waiver requests before registering for the selection process.
The selection method for free distance education varies according to the modality. The formation of classes for technical courses, concomitant and/or subsequent ones will be determined by a lottery, scheduled for June 20.
Candidates for undergraduate course vacancies may be admitted to the Federal Institute without using ENEM, since they will take a test on June 9. The exam will consist of 45 multiple-choice questions and one essay. Admission to postgraduate studies depends on specific criteria for each course as described in the announcements.
