A Man Was Sailing Calmly When He Came Across A Ghost Ship Near The Enigmatic Bermuda Triangle. What Did He Find On Board?
In December 2022, a group of researchers led by sailor Matt Rutherford made a disturbing discovery at sea. During an expedition in the United States, his team encountered a ghost ship adrift near the enigmatic Bermuda Triangle.
The boat, identified as Swan 48 ‘Wolfhound’, was completely abandoned and in a deathly silence, with its sails down and objects scattered across the deck, suggesting a hasty evacuation.
The scene immediately drew attention. In a region where myths and disappearances surround navigation, finding a crewless vessel was cause for alarm.

Labor shortage: even with an average salary of R$ 8,700, the profession faces a shortage of 359 workers in Brazil and helps explain why radiotherapy is still hindered in cancer treatment in the SUS.
Even hesitantly, the researchers decided to approach to inspect the interior of the sailboat.
Mystery At Sea
The Wolfhound floated aimlessly, with no signs of life on board. Fearing what they might find, Rutherford and his team entered cautiously. Despite the sinister appearance, there were no indications of violence or any recent human presence.
The initial investigation revealed that the boat belonged to Alan McGettigan, a member of the Royal Irish Yacht Club, who later died for reasons unrelated to the incident.
It was discovered that the Wolfhound was damaged during a storm, and its crew was rescued by a Greek freighter, abandoning the vessel in the middle of the ocean.
Attempted Rescue
In light of the discovery, Rutherford’s team decided to attempt to tow the sailboat. However, the process proved to be extremely challenging, as the Wolfhound was larger and heavier than the team’s vessel.
After traveling about 80 kilometers with the sailboat in tow, the researchers were forced to abandon the mission due to high fuel consumption.
The case gained attention after a video of the discovery was published, generating debates about the fate of the Wolfhound and reinforcing the fascination with the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle. The vessel remains adrift, a silent testament to the dangers and enigmas surrounding this region of the Atlantic.
