HydroWing Opens Office in Wales to Support Development of Tidal Energy Project in Morlais, Anglesey, Driving Renewable Energy Goals.
HydroWing is expanding its operations with the opening of a new branch in Wales, to support the development of its tidal stream energy project in Morlais, Anglesey.
The company secured a contract in the latest UK round of government’s ‘Contracts for Difference’ allocation for a 10 MW tidal stream energy project in Morlais, the largest consented tidal energy scheme in the UK. This agreement reinforces HydroWing’s commitment to advancing renewable energy technology.
HydroWing: Expansion to New Base at M-SParc
The new office is located at M-SParc, a science park in Anglesey, owned by Bangor University. HydroWing’s new office will be a new strategic base for the company, led by Business Manager Osian Roberts, who was born and raised in Anglesey and has considerable international experience in the offshore renewable energy sector. He will lead a team based at M-SParc, creating significant new jobs in the region.
