Ibama Announces New Contest With Temporary Positions: Selection Process for Firefighters in 19 States Offers Attractive Salaries.

IBAMA opens a new contest for firefighters with 624 temporary positions in various states. The Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA) is about to conduct a new selection process that promises to attract candidates interested in acting on the front lines of environmental protection. The authorization to fill the vacancies was published in the Official Federal Gazette last Tuesday, August 27, by the president of IBAMA, Rodrigo Agostinho.

Enrollment is expected to start soon, and selected candidates will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the preservation of the country’s natural resources, with competitive salaries and attractive benefits. Stay tuned for deadlines and requirements, as this is an unmissable opportunity for those who wish to make a difference in environmental defense.

In addition to the direct firefighting brigades, the IBAMA contest also provides for the hiring of specialized teams, which will be allocated in regions with specific operational demands from IBAMA, ensuring a quicker and more effective response.

These are the Immediate Employment and Immediate Employment Logistics teams, which can integrate up to 36 firefighters. In total, 624 firefighters will be hired in the temporary positions selection process, who will work in 19 states of the country, in addition to the Federal District:

  • Tocantins;
  • Maranhão;
  • Mato Grosso;
  • Amazonas;

According to the ordinance, Prevfogo is responsible for the selection process, hiring, administration, and management of brigade activities. Thus, those interested in the IBAMA contest should stay alert regarding the official portal of the agency on the Internet.

Based on previous selection processes, to compete for one of the temporary positions, interested candidates must have completed elementary education and be between 18 and 59 years old.
