In an innovative initiative to strengthen the industrial sector, the Federation of Industries of Espírito Santo (Findes) announced the opening of almost 13 thousand places in free courses for next year.
The goal is ambitious: to hire around a thousand qualified students each month from its free courses, totaling approximately 60 thousand enrollments, as reported by the General Director of Findes, Roberto Campos de Lima.
Growth and Need for Skilled Labor
Espírito Santo has stood out in attracting significant industrial and logistical enterprises, generating a growing demand for skilled labor. Lima emphasized the importance of preparing local professionals to meet this need. Courses will be offered by renowned institutions such as the National Service for Industrial Apprenticeship (Senai), Evaldo Lodi Institute (IEL), and the Industry Center of Espírito Santo (Cindes).
Findes is committed to aligning its course portfolio with the real needs of the market, maintaining constant dialogue with the productive sector. The Executive Education Manager of Senai, Tatiane Franco, highlighted Senai’s crucial role in qualifying and integrating professionals into the job market.

Exclusive Initiatives for Women
In 2024, 1,500 spots will be offered in exclusive courses for women, aiming to increase their participation and retention in the industry. Although women represent over 51% of the Brazilian population, they remain a minority in the industry, holding only 25% of formal job positions, not to mention the wage gap, as pointed out by Estadão.
Courses and Focus Areas
The free courses cover areas such as Metallurgy, Civil Construction, Automotive, Food, Oil and Gas, and Logistics. They are intended for both young people and adults entering the job market, as well as professionals seeking continuous qualification.
The job market is constantly evolving, driven by technological advancement and changes in the production chain. By 2025, Espírito Santo will need to train 179 thousand people in industrial occupations. Findes and Senai are committed to meeting this demand, connecting the needs of industries with the offer of courses and services. Stay tuned to this link for registration.
This initiative by Findes is a clear example of how the industry can significantly contribute to job creation and economic development. By offering free training and promising hires, Findes not only empowers the local workforce but also ensures that the industries in Espírito Santo have access to qualified professionals ready to face the challenges of the modern market.
