Frigo King Intensifies Use of Eco-Friendly Technologies to Revolutionize Refrigerated Transportation with Support from Danfoss
Frigo King, a leader in the global refrigerated transportation market and present in over 20 nations, raises the standard of the Brazilian industry with its expertise in maintaining appropriate temperatures for varied loads – from food to flowers.
Electrification in the Transport Route
With the growing demand for greener and more efficient alternatives, Frigo King introduces the EPS – Electric Power System. This innovative system is adapted for the company’s product line, making them compatible with electric trucks.

Chevrolet Tornado Van 2026 emerges as a compact van cheaper than many popular cars in Brazil, with a 1.5 engine, 6-speed manual transmission, 650 kg load capacity, 3.3 m³ of usable space, and fuel consumption of up to 18.1 km/l for about R$ 87,000 in tax-free conversion; an urban utility vehicle that Brazilians don’t have, but Mexico does.

Forget the basic popular car: used sedans like Passat CC, Kia Cerato, Nissan Altima, Mitsubishi Lancer, and Volvo S60 show that it’s still possible to buy more performance, comfort, and technology for less than many new compacts.

Used Honda Civic: 3 versions of the Japanese sedan with naturally aspirated engines of up to 155 hp, fuel consumption of up to 13.8 km/l, robust automatic transmission, and a reputation for reliable mechanics still dominate the used car market in Brazil.
Marcos Pordeus, CEO of Frigo King, reveals that the current scenario sparks interest from companies in transitioning to urban distribution through electric vehicles. “Our engineering team accepted the challenge of developing equipment compatible both with the batteries of vehicles in transit and with the electrical grid while parked,” highlights Pordeus.
Strategic Partnership with Danfoss
To optimize the refrigeration system of electric trucks, the solution came with the frequency converters from Danfoss – the VLT AutomationDrive FC-302. This equipment stands out for its ability to control various types of motors, offering energy savings, flexibility, and efficiency.
Lucas Caligaris, sales engineer at Danfoss, points out the benefits of this choice: “The embedded configuration in the drive simplifies the process and minimizes the need for external components, ensuring stability even in the face of voltage fluctuations.”
For Frigo King, collaborating with Danfoss was a milestone. “This advancement not only opened doors to a new market but also strengthened our global technological position, aligning us with European and global trends,” concludes Pordeus.
