Fiocruz, through the Sérgio Arouca National School of Public Health (ENSP), has just opened registrations for the online specialization course “Educational Technologies for Teaching Practice in Health Education at School”. Aimed at training basic education professionals for the critical use of educational technologies, the course promises to revolutionize teaching practices in the country. The initiative is a partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB/MEC) and will be offered in a distance modality, with some in-person moments.
The specialization is primarily aimed at public school teachers but is open to all education professionals. Who Can Participate
The prerequisites include a higher education diploma, availability of eight hours weekly for studies and course activities, as well as basic computer skills and internet access. Additionally, candidates need to participate in three pedagogical meetings, one remote and two in-person. The duration of the course is 12 months, totaling 430 hours, with 338 hours online, 32 hours in-person, and 60 hours dedicated to the Final Course Project (TCC).

Selection Process
Registrations are open until August 2, 2024. To participate, interested individuals must fill out the online form available on Fiocruz’s website and attach documents such as their graduation diploma, a brief résumé, and a letter of intent. There is no application fee, but it is essential that all requirements are met. The selection will be based on the analysis of the résumé and the letter of intent, with a maximum score of 10 points.
The selection process will be rigorous, ensuring that only the most qualified candidates are selected. Criteria such as professional experience and the potential for applying the course in their work will be evaluated. In case of a tie, the older candidate will be the tiebreaker. Results will be published on August 20, 2024, on the EAD/ENSP portal and on the ENSP Teaching website.
