The Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte Offers Hundreds of Vacancies in Free Technical Courses for Those Who Have Already Graduated from High School, Covering Various Areas of Study.
The Prorectorate of Education (Proen) of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) announced, on January 23, the announcement n.º 05/2024 for a selection process aimed at filling remaining vacancies in free technical high school courses, in the subsequent modality.
List of Free Technical Courses Offered by the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte
Starting in the academic semester 2024.1, the selection process for free technical courses has 298 vacancies, offered at 12 campuses of IFRN: Apodi, Mossoró, Ipanguaçu, Natal-Centro Histórico, Natal-Central, Natal-Zona Leste, Nova Cruz, Natal-Zona Norte, Parelhas, Santa Cruz, Parnamirim, and São Paulo do Potengi. Among the free courses offered by the Federal Institute are:
Agriculture
This course aims to train technical professionals capable of developing technical and behavioral skills in activities related to agricultural, livestock, and agro-industrial production chains.

It trains professionals who work on product design projects, machines, tools, and mechanical equipment, plan, apply, and control mechanical installation and maintenance procedures for machines and equipment according to technical and safety standards.
Roads
This course trains professionals who plan and execute the construction of roads, considering technical and safety standards, execute bridges, culverts, and overpasses, and carry out the inspection and maintenance of terrestrial routes.

It is important to highlight that the selection process of the Federal Institute focuses on holders of a high school diploma or an equivalent course. Candidates, once classified, will occupy the vacancies for the first period of the course in the order of classification.
Enrollment for candidates will be conducted exclusively online, through the Candidate Portal, via the IFRN Competition Management System (SGC) website, from January 24 to February 14, 2024.
To register on the Candidate Portal, it is mandatory that the interested party has an active email account. This is essential for activating the registration and retrieving the access password. The same email address cannot be used for the registration of different candidates. In the enrollment form, it will be mandatory to provide the identification document number and CPF number.
How Will the Selection Process of the Federal Institute Be Conducted?
The classification for filling the vacancies in the free courses will be done through an electronic draw of the candidates who are duly registered.
The SGC of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte fully conducts the Electronic Draw procedure. The first candidates drawn for the vacancies offered by Campus/course/shift will be considered approved.
