BDMG’s online course will have 60 hours, five modules, and visits to rural properties, focusing on techniques to restore soil, reduce costs, tackle drought and climate change, and expand opportunities for grain and pulse producers in Minas Gerais.
Free training in regenerative agriculture is open for registration in Minas Gerais for rural producers and technicians interested in grain and pulse cultivation. The online course will last three months, 60 hours, with registration open until July 3.
Regenerative agriculture reaches grains
The training is promoted by BDMG to encourage sustainable practices in agribusiness. The proposal is to expand techniques capable of restoring soil and adding value to production.
The training reaches its fourth edition and will be aimed at rural producers and technical assistance professionals from public and private networks. Classes start in July, in a Distance Learning format, and continue until September.

In total, there will be 60 hours in five modules, conducted by professionals and researchers. The program covers soybeans, corn, sorghum, beans, wheat, peanuts, chickpeas, rice, and sunflower.

Soil management and market
The course aims to guide participants in building diagnostics and planning for properties. With this, producers can seek cost reduction and adaptation to international market demands, which require environmentally responsible production.
The president of BDMG, Gabriel Viégas Neto, states that the goal is to provide technical conditions and financial solutions to transform decisions in agribusiness and value the soil, pointed out as the sector’s greatest asset.
The training also addresses preparation for drought periods and the impacts of climate change. Correct soil management, associated with natural fertilizers and regional inputs, is presented as a path to improve productivity and control pests and diseases.
Credit supports regenerative projects
In addition to the classes, the program includes two visits to properties that have already adopted regenerative grain production, so students can observe techniques presented during the online modules.
Since 2023, BDMG has already offered training on regenerative agriculture in general, coffee cultivation, and livestock. Now, the focus turns to grains and pulses.
The bank provides credit with differentiated costs for regenerative agriculture projects in Minas Gerais. The Bioinputs and Solo Mais lines finance regenerative soil management, bioinput units, biodigesters, composting, and equipment.

Rural producers, technicians, and professionals connected to agribusiness can comment on how regenerative agriculture is already appearing in their regions, which crops have adoption potential, and what challenges still weigh on bringing sustainable management, credit, and training to properties in Minas Gerais today.
