Residents of Itapetininga and the region who have completed high school have a new opportunity for professional qualification. Registrations are open for two free technical courses offered by the Federal Institute of Southern Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS) through the UAB Pole of Itapetininga. The vacancies are for the second semester of 2026 and applications can be made online until June 19.

In total, 30 vacancies are available, distributed between two courses in the Distance Education (EaD) modality. The selection process will be conducted by electronic lottery and requires a registration fee of R$ 10.00.

Responsible for offering the vacancies, the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Southern Minas Gerais was established from the unification of the traditional federal agricultural schools of Inconfidentes, Machado, and Muzambinho.

In addition to the historical units, the Institute has campuses in Carmo de Minas, Passos, Poços de Caldas, Pouso Alegre, and Três Corações.
