The Pro-Rectorate of Extension and Culture (Proexc) of the Federal Institute of Paraíba (IFPB) has announced the call for new students in the Qualifica Mais EnergIFE Program.
This program offers spots in the Renewable Energy Systems Electrician (Photovoltaic Systems Installer) course, aimed at individuals over 18 years old with at least completed Elementary School I (1st to 5th grade).

Take a free “Drywall Installation” course at SENAI: there are 44 open spots for a 48-hour in-person training, available in the afternoon or evening in São Paulo.
According to the Federal Institute, there are 33 spots at the Santa Rita campus of IFPB, as well as a reserve list for the campuses of Santa Rita and Guarabira. This Initial and Continuing Education (FIC) course has a 200-hour workload, is in-person, and completely free.
Promotion of Gender Equality
To encourage female participation, 20% of the spots are reserved for women. Classes are scheduled to start in the second half of 2024, subject to the availability of resources from the Ministry of Education.
According to the Federal Institute, the course aims to train qualified professionals to dimension, supervise, specify, install, operate, and maintain photovoltaic systems, always in compliance with technical standards, ensuring quality and safety in installation.
Moreover, it seeks to promote entrepreneurship in the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems, contributing to sustainable development. During the course, students will be entitled to student assistance, which covers transportation and meals according to the current legislation.
The Foundation of Technological and Cultural Education of Paraíba (Funetec/PB) will manage these payments, conditioned on the monthly attendance of the students.
Registration Period For The Electrician Course
Registration will be open from 08:00 on July 31 until 22:00 on August 11, exclusively through the Electronic Form available in the notice. It is essential to attach all the required documents to validate the registration.
The preliminary list of applicants will be released on August 12, with the possibility of appeals. The list of approved candidates will be published on August 15, also with a timeframe for appeals, according to the notice schedule. The final result is expected on August 20.
