The Federal Institute opens new opportunities for those who wish to learn and qualify with free courses for the second semester of 2024. Enrollment is open for language courses (French and Spanish) and Libras, aimed at different audiences and levels of knowledge.

The Basic French course, with a workload of 45 hours, is ideal for those who want to start learning the language and culture of France.

Libras Courses Available at the Federal Institute

Basic Libras: Fundamentals of Brazilian Sign Language

For those interested in learning Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS), the Basic Libras course offers 40 hours of essential content.

Participants will learn everyday vocabulary, the manual alphabet, numbers, greetings, and other important signs, in addition to the basic parameters of LIBRAS.

This course is aimed at teachers, education professionals, and the general public, with a completion date set for December 20, 2024. The certificate will be issued within 8 days after enrollment.

Intermediate Libras: Advancing in Sign Language

The Intermediate Libras course is intended for those who have completed the basic course and wish to advance their knowledge of sign language.

With 40 hours of coursework, the course addresses linguistic variations, the context of social media, politics, and other relevant themes. It also includes signs related to travel, sports, and idiomatic expressions.

The course is available for teachers, education professionals, and former students of the Basic Libras course, with completion by December 20, 2024. The certificate will be available within 8 days after enrollment.
