Federal Institute of Sertão Pernambucano Opens 320 Spots in Free Professional Qualification Courses for Youth in Sertão.

The Federal Institute of Sertão Pernambucano (IFSertãoPE) announced on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, the opening of registrations for 320 spots in free courses of Initial and Continuing Education (FIC). Announcement No. 67/2024, made available by the Pro-rectorate of Extension and Culture, offers a significant opportunity for young people seeking professional qualification. Registrations for the courses are open until September 8, 2024.

Free Courses Offered by the Federal Institute

The announcement offers spots in three distinct courses: Sommelier, Administrative Assistant, and Low Voltage Electrical Installer.

The free courses at the Federal Institute will be offered in three cities in Sertão Pernambucano: Petrolina, Araripina, and Águas Belas.

Requirements Set by the Federal Institute and Registration Process

The Federal Institute requires some basic criteria. It is necessary to be between 16 and 29 years old and have completed elementary education, that is, the 9th grade.

In addition, it is necessary to present the personal documentation required in the announcement.

Details of the Federal Institute Courses and Methodology

The free courses offered by IFSertãoPE aim to meet the specific needs of the local and regional job market.

The Sommelier course prepares participants to work in the analysis and recommendation of wines, a growing sector in the food and beverage industry.

The Administrative Assistant course focuses on providing essential administrative and organizational skills for the corporate environment.

The courses are part of the Youth Transforming the Future Project, an initiative that integrates the Manuel Querino Program for Social and Professional Qualification (PMQ).

The PMQ is a program of the Ministry of Labor and Employment’s Secretary of Qualification, Employment, and Income (MTE).

The project was approved by IFSertãoPE after a public call with the MTE. Its main objective is to provide qualification opportunities for youth and workers, promoting comprehensive training and facilitating entry and retention in the job market.
