The As Wings for the Future Program is open for registrations for a free course on digital citizenship aimed at young women aged 15 to 29. There are 30 spots for the training “Digital Citizenship: They + Connected,” offered by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul, at IFRS Campus Erechim, with in-person classes.
The proposal combines practical content, pedagogical support, and assistance for retention, including monthly student aid of R$ 300.00 for those who maintain the minimum required attendance and the possibility of using the daycare during activities. From there, the course fits into a schedule that tries to solve a problem: many people want to enter the digital world but face obstacles of access, guidance, and time for study. Thus, the training was designed to align with the participants’ routines, without losing the seriousness of the selection process and the requirements of the announcement.
Who Can Enroll in the Free Course on Digital Citizenship for Young Women
To compete for a spot, one must meet the requirements defined in the announcement. Eligible candidates are women aged 15 to 29, with completed elementary education and registration in the Unified Registration for Federal Social Programs, the CadÚnico.
In addition, the course is aimed at residents of areas of social vulnerability surrounding the campus, with priority given to black, indigenous, quilombola women, and those from marginalized communities. In other words, the criteria for the audience are not just based on age. It also considers the social context and the barriers that most distance young women from opportunities for education and work.
This point is important because the selection does not occur by lottery. The process goes through objective criteria and documentary analysis, which requires attention from registration to the submission of proof at the time of enrollment.
What Courses Are Available in the As Wings for the Future Program
In this public call, the As Wings for the Future Program offers a specific course, with limited spots and a fixed schedule.
Available course:
- Digital Citizenship: They + Connected
With this, those who enroll already know exactly which training they will undertake and which contents should appear throughout the period. Still, the course design includes different curricular components, which broadens the experience beyond a point-in-time class on tools.
What the Course Teaches and How In-Person Classes at IFRS Campus Erechim Work
The course “Digital Citizenship: They + Connected” is organized into curricular components that connect technology, practical life, and work. Thus, participants go through a pathway that involves:
- Sociopolitical Education and Female Empowerment in Technology
- Digital Tools for Work and Technology
- Foundations for Digital Entrepreneurship
- Integrative Project, Life Project, and Female Empowerment
This structure creates a pathway that starts with understanding the role of women in technology, advances to tools that assist in daily life, and leads to notions of entrepreneurship, continually tying everything into an integrative project.
The activities will be in-person at IFRS Campus Erechim, from March 23 to July 31, 2026, in the afternoon, from 1:30 PM to 5 PM, with meetings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. That is, there is a defined routine, with fixed days and a workload that requires a commitment to attendance.
At the same time, the announcement provides support to ensure that participation doesn’t remain just a promise. In addition to pedagogical support, there is a daycare for children aged 3 to 12 years during the training activities, which usually makes a difference for those with children who need to balance study and care.
How the Selection Process Works and Enrollment Date
Registration must be done through an electronic form indicated in Announcement No. 10, 2025, in the section that addresses the public call for student selection for the course, specifically in item 3.2.
Next, selection occurs through documentary analysis and by adding social vulnerabilities, according to Table 1 of the announcement. Therefore, attention to the documents is not a detail. It supports the evaluation and classification.
Another essential point is that enrollment depends on the demonstration of requirements and the availability of spots. In other words, even with registration approved, implementation only occurs after the expression of interest stage and the correct submission of documentation.
Regarding the enrollment date, the schedule provides for the period from March 2 to March 6, 2026 for expressing interest for the spot and submitting documents, a stage that serves as a decisive moment to consolidate participation.
Also within this same period, from March 2 to March 6, 2026, the period for registration for daycare services occurs, intended for those who need childcare for children aged 3 to 12 years.
Is There a Certificate and How Does the R$ 300 Aid Work
Yes. At the end, participants who achieve a minimum attendance of 75 percent of the total workload will receive a 180-hour certificate.
Moreover, the announcement provides the possibility of monthly student aid of R$ 300.00. However, this amount is conditioned to attendance equal to or greater than 75 percent each month. Thus, the program’s logic is clear: financial support exists to facilitate retention but depends on regular attendance at activities.
In addition to that, the course offers pedagogical support, reinforcing the idea that the training is not limited to technical content. It includes support for participants to maintain pace, complete the workload, and graduate with certification.
Complete Schedule of the As Wings for the Future Program at IFRS Erechim
The schedule follows fixed dates and should be closely monitored, as each stage has a direct function in selection and enrollment:
- February 18 to 25, 2026: registration period
- February 26, 2026: publication of the approval of registrations and preliminary classification
- February 27 to 28, 2026: submission of appeals regarding non-approval and preliminary classification
- February 29, 2026: publication of final classification
- March 2 to 6, 2026: expression of interest for the spot and submission of documents
- March 2 to 6, 2026: period for registration for daycare services
- March 23, 2026: beginning of classes
This way, the path is well marked. First comes the enrollment. Then, approval and classification. After that, appeals. Finally, the step that definitively defines participation, which is expressing interest and submitting documents within the deadline.
Essentially, it’s a common format in public calls, but it requires organization and attention to dates, especially to avoid missing the enrollment phase.
The As Wings for the Future Program is an initiative of the Ministry of Women in partnership with institutions from the Federal Network and provides for training actions, financial support, and educational monitoring, prioritizing young women in situations of social and economic vulnerability. In addition to courses and workshops, the program includes monthly scholarships, support for entering the job market, sociopolitical training, mentoring, and daycare services.
Registrations for this class go until February 25, 2026.
