The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE) recently launched an opportunity that could be the gateway for education professionals.
But are they all ready to face the challenges that come along? With limited positions and a rigorous selection process, those who wish to secure one of the positions need to be prepared for fierce competition.
According to public notice No. 6/2024, the IFCE has opened a selection process that promises to attract candidates from various fields. But do not be fooled, the vacancies are few, and the competition will be intense.
The three opportunities are available for the fields of Nutrition, Philosophy, and Physical Education, with workloads ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week. For those approved, salaries can reach up to R$ 6,356.02, an amount that includes potential increases for those with postgraduate, master’s, or doctoral degrees.

Steps of the Selection Process: It’s Not Just Signing Up
Passing the selection process will not be easy. The selection will consist of two main stages: a didactic performance test, which will be eliminatory and worth up to 100 points, and a title evaluation, which will also be worth up to 100 points. The evaluation criteria go far beyond just a good resume; candidates need to demonstrate practical and theoretical ability.
In case of a tie, IFCE will adopt clear tiebreaker criteria, such as the highest age among candidates aged 60 or older, the score on the didactic performance test, the score on the title evaluation, and finally, the highest overall age.
Validity Period and Extension
This competition is valid for six months, but there is a chance for extension. According to the rules of the notice, the validity can be extended for up to 24 months, depending on the needs of IFCE and the conditions established by the examining committee.
