Federal Institute Launches Free Distance Courses in Artificial Intelligence and Neuroscience, with 1,500 Slots, Certificate, and Starting in March 2026.
Aiming to broaden access to professional training, the Federal Institute of Brasília started, in February 2026, the enrollment process for free courses in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Neuroscience.
The initiative is led by the Brasília Campus, occurs entirely online, starts on March 2, and adopts a first-come, first-served selection process, without exams, to assist adults with a completed high school education.

This new action integrates Public Call No. 4/2026 and brings together 1,500 slots.

In this way, the federal institute keeps up with current market demands.
Neuroscience Applied to the Learning Process
Another option is the course on Neuroscience in Education, which offers 1,000 slots and lasts 60 hours.
The proposal is to present how the brain learns and how this knowledge can be used to improve teaching practices.
On the other hand, this training requires a link or degree in education.
Requirements to Participate in the Federal Institute Courses
To compete for the slots in the free courses, applicants must be 18 years or older, have completed high school, and have access to the internet.
There is no evaluative stage. Therefore, classification occurs according to the order of correct submission of the application and documents.
Online Enrollment and Official Certification
The deadline to participate runs until February 22, 2026, for free, with enrollments made exclusively online, while slots are available.
Throughout the training, students who complete all proposed activities will be entitled to an official certificate.
The document is issued by the Federal Institute itself and can directly contribute to enhancing the curriculum and new professional opportunities.
