The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ) announced the public notice for the free course in Specialization in Neuroeducation, scheduled to start in 2026.
The initiative aims to train graduated professionals in various educational and health fields to integrate advances in neuroscience into pedagogical practices.
The in-person training will last 18 months and offer 20 spots, with opportunities distributed according to affirmative action policies.

Target Audience of the Specialization from the Federal Institute
Professionals with a degree recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) can apply.
The free course is ideal for educators, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, physical educators, sociologists, and other specialists interested in Neuroeducation.
The goal is to train professionals capable of improving learning processes in formal and non-formal spaces, as well as strengthening educational research based on scientific evidence.
Structure and Content of the Neuroeducation Course
The specialization from the federal institute will be offered in an in-person format, with classes on Tuesdays, from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM, totaling 360 hours.
The program covers three central areas: Psychology, Education, and Neuroscience, composing a multidisciplinary training that prepares students to apply scientific knowledge in innovative pedagogical practices.
Selection Process and Enrollment for the Free Course
Enrollment will be open from August 11 to September 14, 2025, exclusively through the official course page at IFRJ.
The fee is R$ 20.00, with the possibility of exemption requested between August 11 and 20.
The selection process includes documentation analysis, a letter of intent, an interview, and verification of reserved spots, ensuring a complete and fair evaluation of candidates.
