César Miranda, Secretary of State for Economic Development, said, “This energy matrix will allow for significant savings, and consequently, many economic activities can be improved and boosted. For the first time, Mato Grosso has a firm gas contract with Bolivia, which allows us to ensure supply for entrepreneurs and attract more investors.”
According to Margareth Buzetti, president of the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Industrial District of Cuiabá (Aedic), “It is a cheaper energy source and provides options for the companies in the District. Today, reducing costs is vital for industries, and having alternatives can also attract more companies, which is important for the region,” commenting that the new pipeline will arrive in the district at an excellent time through these investments.

About the Investments in the Project
According to information from the Mato Grosso Gas Company (MT Gás), the winning company must deliver the basic project within 45 days as terms of reference for the start of the bidding process, which includes soil analysis, pipeline layout, pressure, and complications.
“From there, the executive project comes next, and then the actual construction. The pipeline has an initial branch of 27.5 kilometers to meet a demand of 3 million cubic meters per month in three to five years, potentially reaching 6 million cubic meters of monthly consumption,” says Rafael Reis, president of MT Gás.
