São Paulo Government Discloses Deadlines for Full Payment with Discount, Payment Plan Alternatives, and Specific Rules for Freight Vehicles in the 2026 Fiscal Year.
The São Paulo government presented the official IPVA payment calendar for 2026, informing dates, discounts, and payment plan conditions. According to the decree published in the Official Gazette, owners can pay the tax in full in January, with a 3% discount, or opt for installment payments between three and five times, depending on the total amount due.
Full Payment in January
Drivers who choose to pay the IPVA in January ensure a 3% discount. The dates vary according to the last digit of the license plate. The deadline for vehicles with a final digit of 1 is January 12, while plates ending in 2 are due on the 13th. Deadlines continue until the 23rd, when the deadline for plates ending in 0 expires.
Those who prefer can pay the tax in February, without a discount, following the same order of license plate endings set for January.
