Unlike other Chinese automakers that operate through importers, the company arrives with independent management, separate from Caoa Chery and Omoda Jaecoo, which are also linked to the group.
The start of activities includes forming a local team, with positions already announced on the professional social network LinkedIn.
Meanwhile, the office will be located in the Vila Olímpia neighborhood of São Paulo, an area that also houses Ford’s headquarters in the country.
Hiring and Focus on the Brazilian Market
The Jetour selection process seeks professionals for areas such as finance, logistics, and commercial operations.
This leads to the goal of quickly structuring the network to enable the sale of models like the T2, an SUV that has already stood out in recruitment ads.
With this in mind, the strategy reflects the brand’s bet on the growth potential of the SUV segment in Brazil, one of the most competitive and coveted by Chinese manufacturers.
International Portfolio and Notable Models
On the global stage, Jetour is already recognized for its varied portfolio, which includes the models T1, T2, Dashing, X70, and X90.
Some of them, like the X70, have already been spotted testing in the interior of São Paulo, near the Gandini lab, which provides services to different manufacturers.
The T1 and T2 models stand out for their 1.5 turbo engine options, with 183 hp and 29.5 kgfm, or 2.0 turbo, with 254 hp and 39.6 kgfm. Meanwhile, the T2 i-DM features plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technology, with a combined power output close to 330 hp.
Global Performance and Accelerated Expansion
Since its launch in 2018, Jetour has reached the milestone of 1 million vehicles produced in just 65 months, gaining over 50 million fans worldwide, according to official data.
Therefore, the company is already present in 91 countries, with more than 2,000 sales and service points. The arrival in Brazil reinforces the strategy to expand its presence in emerging markets and strengthen Chery‘s image as one of the giants in the automotive sector.
Betting on the Future and Impact on the National Market
With modern vehicles, attractive design, and electrified options, Jetour intends to compete directly with established brands in Brazil, betting on the combination of technology, performance, and competitive pricing.
The inauguration of its own operation signals that the company sees the country as a key piece for its growth in Latin America, following the trend of expansion of Chinese manufacturers in the global market.
