Is It Worth Buying a Car at Auction?
The first and most obvious advantage is the sale price. Generally, vehicles purchased at auctions are priced significantly lower than the market. With thorough research and considerable effort, it is possible to acquire a good car or motorcycle with up to 30% off the Fipe table value.
Another advantage is that car auction purchases are all audited, and by rule, those who buy a vehicle in this way are not responsible for any past debts. In fact, the seller must use part of the proceeds from the sale to settle any outstanding debts, if they exist.
However, as everything has its downsides, there are also disadvantages to auctions. Buying a vehicle at a car and motorcycle auction for a lower price may become problematic later when you want to resell it. After all, it will always carry the history of being sold at auction.
