Registrations Guarantee Unique Opportunity for Young People with Technical Education

To compete, it is essential to be between 18 and under 25 years old by June 30, 2026. The candidate must have completed or be completing a technical course. Thus, the areas include specialties such as Administration, Nursing, Radiology, Information Technology, Mechanics, Electrotechnics, among others. The Brazilian Navy published the announcement with the information in July 2025.

The Brazilian Navy confirmed, this Monday (July 2, 2025), the opening of 400 vacancies for the Training Course for the Auxiliary Corps of Ratings (CP-CAP/2025). Candidates can register until July 15, 2025. According to the Navy’s Teaching Directorate, the goal is to attract Brazilians, both men and women, with technical education at the high school level. The aim is to reinforce the Technical Auxiliary Corps (QATP) and Industrial Technical Ratings (QTIP).

Who Can Apply

In addition, all candidates must prove moral integrity. They must be up to date with their electoral and military obligations. It is also necessary to present the required physical and psychological conditions. Thus, the selection maintains the standard of requirements to ensure qualified professionals. They will operate in various military organizations spread across the country.

Process Stages

With the official announcement made, the schedule provides for objective tests and an essay on September 28, 2025. This date was disclosed by the Navy Personnel Command. In total, there will be 50 questions, distributed among specific contents from each technical area.

Additionally, there will be complementary stages such as health inspection, psychological evaluation, and physical fitness test. This test includes swimming (25 meters) and running (2,400 meters), with different rules for men and women.

The registration fee is R$ 70.00. There is a possibility of exemption between July 2 and 7, for candidates registered with CadÚnico or bone marrow donors. This condition is provided for by the Brazilian Navy in its regulations updated in 2025.

Training and Benefits

Those who pass all phases of the competition will be called for the Cabo Training Course. The average duration is 24 weeks at the Almirante Alexandrino Instruction Center (CIAA), in Rio de Janeiro. This information was confirmed by the Navy’s Teaching Directorate in a note from July 2025.

During the course, all students will receive a scholarship, in addition to uniforms, meals, medical assistance, dental, psychological, social, and religious support. These items ensure favorable conditions for learning and adaptation to military routine.

Career Prospects

At the end of the course, graduates will be appointed as Cabos of the Auxiliary Corps of Ratings. Therefore, they will perform technical and administrative functions in various sectors of the Navy. In addition, opportunities are spread throughout the national territory.

This structure allows the professional to achieve stability; moreover, there are promotions based on merit. Still, there is the possibility of advancement to Subofficer, as highlighted by the Navy in July 2025.
