Become a Bilingual Teacher! The MEC Awaits You. Enrollment Open for the Pedagogy Course to Qualify You.
The National Institute of Education for the Deaf (INES), under the Ministry of Education – MEC, is currently accepting enrollments for the Bilingual Pedagogy course, an in-person graduation that prepares professionals to work in the education of the deaf. There are 60 available spots, distributed between morning and evening shifts, and classes are set to begin in the first semester of 2025.

How to Participate?
Enrollment can be done exclusively online, through the INES website, from September 23 to October 24, 2024. The selection process will consist of two stages: a general knowledge test and an essay, and a proficiency test in Libras.

Reserved Spots
The MEC reserves 50% of the spots for deaf candidates and 50% for hearing candidates. Additionally, there are reserved spots for low-income candidates, black, brown, indigenous, quilombola individuals, people with disabilities, and those who completed high school entirely in public schools.
Requirements for Enrollment
To participate in the selection process, candidates must have completed high school and present the documents requested in the notice. It is important to note that deaf candidates must provide a medical report confirming hearing loss.
