New Storage Center Expected to Boost E-Commerce
The Australian group Goodman, a global reference in logistics space management, announced an investment of R$ 360 million to build a distribution center in Santo André, in the Greater São Paulo area.
The construction will be carried out in partnership with Libercon Engenharia. The expected completion date for the project is late 2025, according to data released by the company itself.
Robust Structure and Focus on E-Commerce
With 60,000 square meters of usable area, the new logistics hub will have capacity equivalent to eight soccer fields, according to the construction company responsible for the project.

The space’s design caters to large operations in e-commerce, a sector that is rapidly growing in Brazil.
Moreover, the project aims to provide modern and efficient infrastructure, a factor that increases competitiveness among marketplace giants vying for larger shares of the digital market.
Tight Competition for Leasing
Major players in the digital sector have already shown interest in the warehouse, which will be designated for leasing.
Among the main interested parties are Shopee and Mercado Livre, who are competing for occupancy of the space to expand their operations in the São Paulo metropolitan area.
Even without the final decision being officially confirmed, the market emphasizes the strategic importance of the project for the logistics and e-commerce sector.
Regional Impact and Job Creation
According to market data released by Goodman in August 2025, the center is expected to boost the regional economy and generate new local investments.
The project will also create direct jobs during construction and indirect positions after its inauguration.
Therefore, the arrival of this hub represents a milestone for Santo André, solidifying its status as a logistics hub in the Greater ABC area and reinforcing its economic vocation.
Logistics Sector Outlook in Brazil
The movement reflects the accelerated transformation of Brazilian logistics.
With the rise of digital shopping, companies have begun competing for structures capable of providing faster and more efficient deliveries across various regions of the country.
Thus, Goodman’s project in Santo André symbolizes a direct response to the growing demand, cementing the city as a strategic hub for national e-commerce.
