Atlantic Nickel is engaged in exploration, mining, processing, and commercialization of nickel concentrate. The mining company announced through its social media that it discovered an area in Itagibá, Bahia, with significant potential for sulfide nickel exploration. With this discovery, the company aims to expand the extraction of base metals for producing batteries for electric vehicles.

Atlantic Nickel has been engaged in exploration, mining, processing, and commercialization of nickel concentrate since 2009. The produced sulfide nickel, after undergoing a refining process, is the main component in manufacturing batteries that equip the growing market of electric vehicles.

The operations of Santa Rita Mine are concentrated in the municipality of Itagibá, Bahia, northeast of Brazil, about 370 kilometers from the capital Salvador (BA). The location is also strategic as it is only 140 kilometers from the Port of Ilhéus, a city in southern Bahia, well positioned from an export perspective for the ore.
