Updating registration, family composition, and compliance with program rules can directly affect the amount paid to beneficiary families
Beneficiaries of Bolsa Família may receive a higher amount in July, but this does not mean there will be a general adjustment of the program.
Currently, there is no forecast for an increase in the basic benefit for July 2026. Therefore, the minimum amount remains at R$ 600 per family, according to information from the Federal Government.
Thus, the main way to receive more is to keep the family’s data updated in the Cadastro Único, also called CadÚnico.

Updating the Cadastro Único can change the amount received
First of all, any changes in the family must be communicated to the CRAS or the municipal CadÚnico office.
Furthermore, this update allows the government to correctly verify who is entitled to the Bolsa Família additions.
Among the changes that need to be reported are:
- birth of a child;
- confirmation of pregnancy;
- reduction in family income;
- change of address;
- change in family composition.
Therefore, when this information is not reviewed, the family may miss out on amounts they would be entitled to.
Bolsa Família additions can increase monthly payment
Bolsa Família consists of a minimum amount of R$ 600, in addition to extras calculated according to the family profile.
The First Childhood Benefit pays R$ 150 per child up to 6 years old. Meanwhile, the Variable Family Benefit includes R$ 50 for pregnant women, nursing mothers, children, and adolescents.
Additionally, this R$ 50 extra applies to adolescents up to under 18 years old, according to the program rules.
Therefore, families with young children, pregnant women, or breastfeeding mothers should consult the statement.
The verification can be done through the Bolsa Família app or the Caixa Tem app.
If any additional amount does not appear, even if entitled to the benefit, the family should seek municipal assistance.
Health and education rules prevent blockages
Even so, keeping the registration updated is not the only obligation of the beneficiaries.
Families also need to comply with the Bolsa Família conditions, which involve health and education.
In health, prenatal care for pregnant women, children’s vaccination, and child nutritional monitoring are required.
In education, children and adolescents need to maintain a minimum school attendance.
Therefore, non-compliance with these rules may result in blocking, suspension, or reduction of the benefit.
Protection Rule maintains part of the payment
Additionally, families that increase their income above R$ 218 per person may enter the Protection Rule.
In this case, the Bolsa Família is not immediately canceled.
Instead, the payment may be reduced to 50% of the amount for up to two years.
On the other hand, if the income falls back within the program’s criteria, the full amount may be restored.
When to seek CRAS for review request
Finally, the family should seek CRAS when they believe they are entitled to a higher amount.
This is especially true when there are young children, pregnant women, or nursing mothers in the family registration.
Thus, the data can be checked, corrected, and used in the next Bolsa Família calculations.
