Volonaut Confirms Authenticity of the Hoverbike, Which Will Have Limited Production, Priced at £649,000 and Reservations Open in August.
The image of a Star Wars-style hoverbike flying over a field caught the attention of the entire world earlier this year.
The viral video, which showed a small vehicle for just one person, divided opinions and raised doubts about its authenticity.
Many believed it was a digital creation. Now, the Polish company Volonaut has confirmed that the vehicle is real and is ready to hit the market.

Airbike Begins Production
Volonaut announced that the Airbike, the official name for the hoverbike, will start being produced in limited quantities as early as next week.
The model will be launched at an initial price of around US$880,000. The company also released new flight images, with original audio, to prove that the hoverbike project is genuine.
The video shows the vehicle flying over a test field, using a noisy propulsion method.
According to information from Volonaut, the prototype can achieve an impressive speed of 199 km/h, piloted by the inventor and founder of the company, Tomasz Patan.
Project Authenticity
Tomasz Patan commented that the additional recording was a response to the significant impact of the initial video. “Although the original launch went viral, it also divided opinions.
Many claimed that the hoverbike was not real, accusing it of using AI or CGI,” he stated. He emphasized that all official images are of a fully functional vehicle, without digital effects.
Volonaut revealed that the Airbike is powered by jet propulsion and uses a patented stabilization system.
The mechanism is controlled by a flight computer, ensuring the ability to hover and providing ease for the pilot.
Commercial Future of the Airbike
The inventor stated that he has always dreamed of creating a personal flying machine that is futuristic and iconic, resembling something from a science fiction movie. “The result is a pioneering vehicle, with incredible performance, stunning visuals that truly resemble a sportbike,” Patan declared.
The commercial version of the Airbike will be limited to a maximum speed of 101 km/h to comply with the “ultralight” category.
As a result, it can be flown outside of densely populated areas without the need for a pilot license.
The company promises to offer specialized training for buyers, ensuring safety and responsibility in operation.
Volonaut has stated that they are already working on a pre-production version and intend to reveal the first flight images in 2026. Pre-orders for the hoverbike will open on August 1st.
