A YouTuber Decided To Take Engineering To The Extreme, Installing A Jet Engine In His Truck. The Result Was Explosive And You Need To Check It Out!
Who hasn’t thought about taking an unusual idea and seeing what happens, even knowing it might be practically impossible? That’s the spirit of Cody Detwiler, better known as WhistlinDiesel, an American YouTuber famous for his vehicle experiments. His latest invention? To put a jet engine in a Japanese Kei truck. The reason? Simple: “Why not?”
The Unusual Combination
WhistlinDiesel has a long history of creating unusual situations, challenging the obvious with a touch of madness. But, of everything he has done for his YouTube channel, nothing compares to the boldness of putting a jet engine in a Honda Acty, a model of Japanese Kei truck.

For those who don’t know, a Kei truck is a compact version of a vehicle, designed to handle the narrow roads of Japan. Its main feature is the limited size, which makes it agile but without much power. Therefore, it is an invited choice to accommodate a jet engine, one of the most powerful machines available.

The Power Of The Jet Engine
After adapting the jet engine to the truck, WhistlinDiesel and his team took it for a test drive. To the surprise of many, instead of using the typical aviation fuel, they included diesel in the jet engine.
To test the power, they planned a race with a Lamborghini, and as expected, the truck had no trouble passing the supercar. Despite being a small and low-durability vehicle, the Honda Acty with the jet engine became much faster than imagined.

The Impact On The Truck And The Road
The increase in speed was so impressive that the truck seemed ready to fall apart during a race. But the spectacle didn’t stop there. After the test drive, the truck was taken to the highway, where it drew everyone’s attention.
A fire truck appeared shortly after, as someone had called the firefighters about a smoking car on the road. What was really happening? The jet engine of the Honda Acty was emitting a large amount of smoke.
The firefighters, upon arriving at the scene, were surprised to see the vehicle and, instead of worrying about the fire, were thankful that they didn’t have to deal with legal issues related to the crazy vehicle. In the end, they advised WhistlinDiesel not to run the jet engine on public roads — a wise piece of advice any driver should heed.
The Reality Of Putting A Jet Engine In A Kei Truck
Although the experience was thrilling, it’s important to remember that all of this is a big exercise in fun and creativity. Putting a jet engine in a Kei truck may be exciting for onlookers, but the reality is that this type of modification is not safe and should not be replicated on the streets.
The safety risks are extremely high, and the legality of such modifications to vehicles is highly questionable.
Despite this, it’s impossible to deny the uniqueness of an idea like this, and once again, WhistlinDiesel showed the world that a combination of creativity and audacity can yield unpredictable results — and, as always, with a lot of good humor.
