If you think that finding a compact and affordable car is simple, the Fiat Mobi is here to prove otherwise.

In a market where economical options are increasingly rare, this compact hatchback stands out for its practical features and competitive prices.

But does it meet all the expectations of those who need a functional vehicle for everyday use? Discover the secrets and challenges of a model that has attracted the attention of consumers all over Brazil.

What is Fiat Mobi?

Launched as an evolution of the Fiat Uno, the Mobi represents Fiat's entry into the subcompact segment, with a modern design and an essentially urban proposal.

The model is equipped with a 1-liter, four-cylinder engine, capable of generating up to 75 horsepower.

Although it is not the most powerful in its category, it makes up for it with fuel efficiency: reaches up to 11 km/l in the city and 15,2 km/l on the highway.

According to analyses in the automotive sector, the Fiat Mobi is ideal for short trips and for those looking for economy and practicality.

With its reduced dimensions, the car makes it easier to maneuver on narrow roads and in busy parking lots, making it a popular choice among urban drivers.

Fierce competition in the market

The Fiat Mobi's main competitor is the Renault Kwid, which is offered from R$62.990. The Fiat model, however, stands out for its more affordable initial cost, costing around R$35 in some used versions.

According to industry sources, this price difference makes the Mobi a viable option for those looking for a compact vehicle without spending a lot.

In addition to the price, the Mobi offers differentiated equipment. The Like and Like On versions include items such as power steering, air conditioning, alloy wheels and rear parking sensors, which add value to the vehicle.

Fiat Mobi versions

The model offers different versions to suit different needs. The basic version, Easy, comes without air conditioning or power steering, while the Like version adds comfort with these standard features.

For those looking for more sophistication, the Like On option includes features such as alloy wheels and parking sensors.

Between 2017 and 2020, the Fiat also launched the Drive version, equipped with the Live On system, which transforms the user's cell phone into a multimedia center.

Another interesting addition was the GSR automated gearbox, although this received criticism for being slow.

Strengths and weaknesses

Despite its qualities, the Fiat Mobi faces important challenges. The interior finish is often the subject of complaints, due to the inferior quality of materials.

Furthermore, the Fire engine, although efficient, presents sealing failures and recurring infiltration problems, according to reports from owners.

Another point of criticism is the GSR gearbox, which, despite being an automated solution, does not offer the expected smoothness in gear changes. Even so, the Trekking version has received praise for its design and practicality.

Technological equipment

For those looking for technology, the Fiat Mobi offers interesting options, such as the Tech Kit, available in some versions.

This package includes a radio with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a multifunction steering wheel and even a Live On sound system.

According to experts, these items increase the model's competitiveness in the subcompact segment.

Price table

Used versions of the Fiat Mobi have varying prices, depending on the year and condition.

Basic models can be found from R$35, while more equipped versions, such as the Trekking or Like On, have higher prices.

Even with its technical challenges, the Mobi remains a viable option for those looking for a compact and economical vehicle, without giving up comfort and some modern equipment.
