The Federal Institute of Paraíba (IFPB) has announced the opening of applications for free technical courses in integrated and subsequent modalities for the first semester of 2025. In total, the institution offers 4,335 openings in free courses in this selection process, which is an excellent way to enhance your resume, grow professionally, or enter the increasingly demanding job market.

The opportunities are distributed across the Campuses Areia, Cabedelo, Cabedelo Centro, Campina Grande, Cajazeiras, Catolé do Rocha, Esperança, Guarabira, Itabaiana, Itaporanga, João Pessoa, Mangabeira, Monteiro, Patos, Pedras de Fogo, Picuí, Princesa Isabel, Santa Luzia, Santa Rita, Sousa, and Soledade. More than 4,000 openings in free courses at the Federal Institute are distributed as follows:

How Are Openings Distributed in the Free Technical Courses at IFPB?
IFPB reserves half of the openings for candidates who are graduates from Public Schools (EEP) who have completed their education in public schools.

Within this percentage, there are reserved spots for self-declared black, brown, and indigenous candidates (PPI), self-declared quilombola candidates (Q), and candidates with disabilities (PcD), in addition to reserved spots for candidates with a family income equal to or less than 1.0 minimum wage (R$ 1,420).
For the integrated free courses, 3,110 openings are offered across the campuses of Cabedelo, Cabedelo Centro, Cajazeiras, Campina Grande, Catolé do Rocha, Esperança, Guarabira, Itabaiana, Itaporanga, Monteiro, João Pessoa, Pedras de Fogo, Patos, Picuí, Santa Luzia, Princesa Isabel, Santa Rita, and Sousa.
For the subsequent free technical courses, 1,185 openings are offered at the campuses of Areia, Cabedelo, Cajazeiras, Cabedelo Centro, Campina Grande, Itabaiana, João Pessoa, Mangabeira, Patos, Pedras de Fogo, Santa Luzia, Princesa Isabel, Soledade, and Sousa. Additionally, there are 40 spots for the subsequent technical course in Musical Instruments offered exclusively at the João Pessoa campus.
Applications for Free Courses at the Federal Institute
Applications must be made exclusively through the completion of an electronic form available on the Federal Institute’s website, as long as the applicant has or possesses access to a valid and active email account. Applications can be made until October 3.
For the subsequent free courses, applicants must have completed High School or equivalent by the date of pre-registration. For the integrated courses, it is necessary to have completed the 9th grade (formerly 8th grade) of Elementary School or equivalent by the date of pre-registration.
It is worth noting that IFPB is not responsible for any internet application requests not received for any technical reasons of computers or communication failures.
Meanwhile, the selection process for the integrated free technical courses will be conducted through an analysis of academic performance in Portuguese Language, Mathematics, History, and Geography or equivalent subjects in Elementary School II, in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, or equivalent.
For the subsequent courses, selection will be carried out through an analysis of grades in Portuguese Language, Mathematics, or equivalent subjects taken in the 1st and 2nd years of High School or equivalent.
