The new Gripen NG from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) is getting closer to the Brazilian coast. The ship carrying the aircraft is the Elke and left Sweden on the first day of September, with an estimated arrival in Santa Catarina at the port of Navegantes on September 20 at seven in the morning, according to the portal Marine Traffic.

The ship is 138 meters long and is bringing in its cargo hold the military aircraft for the Brazilian Air Force. The fighter is a single-seat model and will have the registration FAB4100 in the FAB.
According to the portal Aeroin, the fighter is being transported by sea due to not yet being certified and lacking a refueling probe, which would hinder the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean.
