Neoenergia wins the privatization auction of CEB Distribuição, in the Federal District

Brazilian energy company Neoenergia on Friday won an auction for Brazilian utility CEB do Distrito Federal, with an offer of 2,5 billion reais ($486,04 million).

CEB Distribuição distributed electricity to more than three million people in the Federal District of Brasilia and will now be passed on to Neoenergia, according to the Spanish energy company. Last year it provided a total of 6.577 gigawatt hours.

Neoenergia invested more than R$ 2,5 billion to win the auction in the Federal District, which represents the acquisition price of 100% of the shares issued by CEB-D located in the Federal District.
