Nissan Brazil announced, on May 20, 2025, the opening of 400 new positions at its Industrial Complex located in Resende, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. This initiative aims to meet the growing demand for the production of the new generation of the Nissan Kicks SUV, a model that leads the brand’s sales in the country. The opportunities encompass the areas of production, logistics, quality, and maintenance, focusing on increasing the factory’s production capacity.

Production Expansion and Job Creation at Nissan

During the official ceremony to commence the manufacturing of the new Kicks, held in April 2025, the president of Nissan Latin America, Guy Rodriguez, emphasized the importance of this investment for the region. The event was attended by federal, state, and municipal authorities, as well as approximately 500 guests, including dealers, suppliers, executives, and Nissan employees. The Resende factory, inaugurated in 2014, underwent significant upgrades to accommodate the production of the new model. Among the improvements implemented are the installation of 98 new robots and 29 automated guided vehicles (AGVs), raising the automation rate from 55% to 84%. These changes aim to increase the production cadence from 24 to 32 vehicles per hour, without the need to add a third work shift.

Selection Process: Steps and Requirements

Those interested in applying for the positions of production operator, logistics operator, and quality operator must register through the Talent Bank available on Nissan’s LinkedIn page. The selection process includes curriculum analysis, interviews with the human resources team and managers from the respective areas, as well as possible theoretical and practical skill tests, depending on the desired position. For operator positions, the basic requirement is to have completed high school. Nissan also offers opportunities for candidates without prior experience in the industry, depending on the area of expertise. All new employees go through a theoretical and practical training program at the company’s Training Center, located within the industrial complex.
